    Full Name:Jared Drake Bell
    Date of Birth:27 June 1986
Place of Birth:Orange County, California, USA

    Bio:

Drake Bell was born in Newport Beach, California in 1986, the son of world-renown billiards champion Robin Dodson, and he began his acting career not long after. He has had a variety of roles, both dramatic and comedic, though most know him for his portrayal of the fun-loving, girl-chasing teenage Lothario Drake Parker on Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, currently in its final season.

But an interesting thing happened in Drake’s career development - on the set of the TV miniseries Chasing Destiny he met Roger Daltrey of The Who, who taught him to play guitar. Drake took to it like a fish to water and soon was writing, singing and playing his own songs - at the age of fourteen! A few years later, Drake decided to put out a CD on his own label, Backhouse Records 2005’s Telegraph, a mature mix of rock songs and ballads, all written by the then-teen.

Fast-forward a few months to the end of December 2005 and tragedy strikes literally - Drake is driving one of his beloved vintage cars and is hit head-on by another motorist. The steering column went through his chin and knocked out a number of teeth, plus he suffered a number of other jaw and neck injuries. As a result, his jaw was wired shut for three months, and the filming of the final season of Drake & Josh was delayed. There was some question as to whether or not the young burgeoning talent would fully recover and be able to act and sing again, but those fears were unfounded. Drake has made an amazing recovery and is now back - and better than ever!

2006 has been a significant year for Drake, and it’s not over yet. He finished filming Drake & Josh, made a number of concert appearances around the United States, signed a record deal with Universal Motown, and currently has a new television show in the works. His first CD with the new label, It’s Only Time, was released on December 5th, and the first single from the CD, “I Know,” debuted on October 17th.
