Shia Labeouf

ALL ABOUT SHIA LABEOUF
Full Name: Shia Saide LaBeouf
Date of Birth: 11 June 1986
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California, USA
Bio:
Shia (rhymes with hi-ya) LaBeouf was named after his grandfather, who is a comedian. Young Shia also liked making people laugh and LaBeouf used to perform a stand-up comedy act at local coffee joints around his neighborhood in California. After seeing a friend’s performance on a TV show, Shia LaBeouf decided he should try acting too. His mom, Shayna LaBeouf, agreed and Shia began calling agents out of the yellow pages the very next day. He performed a stand-up piece for one, and was signed.
In 2000, Shia auditioned to be a main character on a new Disney Channel show. Shia snagged the role of Louis Stevens in the very funny show Even Stevens. Despite the shows popularity, and a TV movie, Even Stevens ended in 2003. But Shia LaBeouf had impressed a lot of people as the hilarious Louis Stevens.
Shia LaBeouf’s big break came when he was cast in the hit Disney movie, Holes, based on the book by Louis Sachar. In Holes, Shia LaBeouf plays Stanley Yelnats, who is sent to a juvenille detention camp (AKA Camp Green Lake) - just another hit of bad luck in his life, which is plagued by a family curse. But it seems Stanley’s stint at Camp Green Lake may turn it all around for the Yelnats family.
Shia LaBeouf’s killer performance in Holes scored him some other sweet roles. He was in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and The Battle of Shaker Heights, which was documented in the HBO show Project Greenlight, created by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Shia LaBeouf also has roles in I, Robot and House of D, both hitting theaters in 2004.
